On April 8, 2010, the Insurance Institute’s Career Connections program will be hosting the second annual “Insurance & Financial Services Career Fair” in Burnaby, BC in partnership with the Simon Fraser University’s Business Management Centre.

Approximately fifteen different companies will participate in this targeted insurance career fair and will have the opportunity to connect with students from Simon Fraser University’s Faculty of Business Administration. The event enables companies to connect directly with graduating business administration students to fulfill recruitment needs and to engage first to third year students in an effort to create awareness of career opportunities in the P&C insurance industry. 

Each year, the Institute’s Career Connections program connects with post secondary students at generalist career fairs throughout Canada. This year, the Insurance & Financial Services Career Fair enabled property and casualty insurance industry stakeholders and finance companies to highlight the career opportunities available in their respective industries.  This free event was initiated to demonstrate the ‘World of Possibilities’ available in the industry.
