The Family Studies section of Risk Responsibility Reality focuses on consumer education, offering opportunities for students to learn about three types of insurance - tenant's (or renter's) insurance, auto insurance and homeowner's insurance. Students learn how to catalogue and to protect their personal belongings with the right type of insurance coverage for their needs. Students utilize simulation activities to learn the true costs of owning a car. Students also learn how to read an insurance policy and to understand the meaning of basic insurance terminology.
