Career Connections is multifaceted in its approach and vehicles to engage students and career changers in exploring career options in the property & casualty insurance sector. We look forward to working with you in helping your students or clients to make a career connection through:

Career Events

Career Fairs - Once again this year, we are participating in general career fairs. Check out when we will be in your area here. We can also work with your team, student societies / community groups and our industry partners to coordinate all aspects of a 'Careers in Insurance' Fair. View Events Schedule

Panel Discussions/Presentations - Whether insurance specific or a more general career panel, our Ambassadors are eager to share their insights and career road map. Our team is also available to act as moderators for the discussion.

Networking Events - As with many sectors, networking is an integral component of the insurance industry and it takes practice! In conjunction with our industry partners, we provide a platform in an informal setting for students to engage potential employers and hone their networking techniques.

Mock Interviews - Our industry recognizes the importance of the interview from both the candidate and employer perspective. It is with this in mind that Career Connections and our partners are available to participate in mock interview events and share their feedback and expertise on the interview process.

Resume Workshops - Putting your best foot forward is an important part of the job search process – resumes are a key vehicle for candidates to introduce themselves and what they have to offer to potential employers. Career Connections offers perspective on how to tailor a resume for the industry and best practices in preparing an application to insurance employers in an interactive workshop. This session can be followed up with 1:1 or virtual resume reviews from industry or career services professionals.

Case Competitions - If your program is coordinating a case competition with an element of Risk Management, Ethics, Loss Control, Business Continuity or Relationship Management, we are happy to lend subject matter expertise or resources to support its development. Our ambassadors and industry partners are also available to participate as judges in both insurance specific and more general case competitions.
